UK 2000 Reunion - York

The sixth BI UK reunion was held at the Hilton Hotel in the historic city of York on October 14-15, 2000. York was chosen to make the event more accessible to those living in the north, as well as providing a very pleasant location for a weekend break.

The weekend started with a suitably nautical boat trip on the River Ouse on the Saturday afternoon. In the evening there was the main reunion dinner at the Hilton. The dinner was a sell-out with 180 people sitting down. The third event of the reunion weekend was a BI curry lunch on the Sunday.

The whole Millennium Reunion weekend was a great success thanks in large measure to the efforts of Sue and John Spence, who are pictured here celebrating. It was hoped that by holding the event in York people would be able to combine a weekend break with the much more serious BI partying and that what many did.
