PRELIMINARY DETAILS
BI REUNION PORTSMOUTH 1 - 3 OCTOBER 2004

MAIN EVENTS	POSSIBLE OTHER EVENTS
1. FRIDAY EVENING ICE BREAKER We thought it might be nice to arrange an informal ice breaker again on the Friday evening. Around 80 got together in a traditional old pub in Bristol for a very cheery occasion. The venue this time will be The Mermaid in Port Solent Marina about 1 mile from the Marriott and starting at about 6.00 pm. There will be no need to book for this event and there is no charge but please indicate in the appropriate box on the booking form if you are interested because we need to have an idea of possible numbers.	BOAT TRIP I am also hoping to organise a boat trip on the Saturday around Portsmouth harbour, viewing HMS Warrior, HMS Victory, the warships in Fountain Lake, Portchester Castle, Merchant Ships and Fortifications. The vessel we're likely to have should take our party comfortably; facilities include a heated saloon, toilets and bar. The trip will last approximately one hour at a cost which is unlikely to exceed £4.00. If you are interested please indicate numbers in the appropriate box on the booking form and I will advise you in due course if the event is to go ahead.
2. REUNION DINNER This will be held in the Mary Rose Suite in the Portsmouth Marriott Hotel. There will be a set menu at a cost of £26.00 per person based on a minimum of 200 and with the usual dietary alternatives on request. As usual please let me know if you wish to sit with particular friends or to make up a table by indicating your requirements on the booking form. Although you can't always know at the time you book who else is going to be there, you can still suggest possible names. I know that many people like to ring round and organise their friends into tables. However, don't delay sending in your booking form because I can take these details later. I'm usually able to accommodate some, if not all, of your requests.	FILM SHOWS AND EXHIBITIONS If anyone wishes to promote or present a film show or exhibition on a BI theme, please contact me separately to discuss the details including timing, possible cost of hiring equipment from the hotel, etc.
3. CURRY LUNCH Again this will be held in the hotel. There will be choice of curries, meat, fish and vegetable, of varying strengths, which will be served along with the usual accompaniments, or dietary alternatives, at £20.00 per head based on a minimum of 130. If the Marriott's standard at Bristol is anything to go by, we can expect a splendid meal.
